The good: this feature is already implemented in the beta version.
The bad: the beta version is not yet released in the Play Store.

Update: Code freeze needed in order to go out of alpha testing and get ramped up for beta. All new features will be replanned.

I'm not currently using a calendar, just DGT. Overall, I'm quite happy with this, particularly with having reminder alerts always in my pocked. However, there's one pretty glaring exception: When I need to schedule a specific meeting with someone, I usually just start typing the event title, and from the task edit screen, I can't see conflicts with existing tasks. If there was some way to see other events at or near the same time without cancelling out of the new task I'm creating, I'd be a super happy camper. Calendar integration might be a solution, but something simpler (no sync to build and deal with) would do fine.

FWIW, I now put most dated events in DGT/Toodledo instead of google. Works well.

If I'm not mistaken, Toodledo doesn't support manually ordering tasks, making this less useful for those who use DGT as a front end for it.

My impression is that apps that use scheduled notifications don't work correctly from an SD card. Several apps I have with that functionality warn you not to move them here.

I don't think syncing every x minutes is what this issue is about. It's a request for a smarter mode, where syncing happens when, and only when, you make changes. As Pavel points out in the suggestion, it's much easier for DGT to take action when it saves something, harder for it to know when to pull changes from toodledo. Maybe there could be a separate checkbox to automatically send changes when they're made in DGT, and sync then, and the sync interval setting would apply if no auto-save sync had happened after that amount of time.
