  4. I feel multiple (say 3 or 5) reminders should be allowed per task. And they should not be tied to the due date. In other words, adding reminder(s) must be allowed irrespective of whether a task has a due date set or not.

As Allen says in GTD - we should clutter the hard landscape with due dates set for too many tasks.

  5. Hello, when I quickly want to add a new item by using the quick add button (top right), it puts the item in low priority. On a long list, I have to go looking for the item to make it high priority. I would like to suggest that the item be made high priority by default so its on the top of the list. Thank you.

In the main screen (the dashboard) you have the “Recently added” list. You will see the recently added tasks sorted by creation date in descending order.

  6. It would be useful to be able to filter task list by estimated task length.

For example if I have half an hour of empty time to work I could filter work items that are estimated to take less than half an hour.

Ideal implementation could be a slider to set the filter duration.

  8. First of all thx you for starting my other idea with the non-date tasks to widget.

But now i have the problem that my widget is overloaded. would you pls give me the option to hide sub-tasks and sub-checklists in the widget and make it "scrollable" or something... but don't destroy the style^^. Thank you!

Update: Code freeze needed in order to go out of alpha testing and get ramped up for beta. All new features will be replanned.

  9. I'd love an option that hides projects that have no tasks. Most of my projects only make sense in a certain context. So if I'm looking at my @work context, I'd only like to see the list of projects that have @work tasks. The logic is already there to count the number of @work tasks, so it may be easy to add logic to hide those projects.

  10. This allows the user to quickly view all tasks after viewing a single task. Currently the only way to do this is by using the back button, which does not work if you select a task directly from Pure Grid or another widget (pressing the back button would take you back to desktop).

  11. I'm thinking about something similiar to Astrid functionality - often i just want to add one or few things instantly, because i don't have time to describe them precisely in given moment (I can do it later). Now it just takes way too many clicks to add anything really fast (for comparison - in Astrid or Any.do it's just one click).
I think this funcionality is a must nowadays and will make your app even more useful (and probably popular as a lot of people need ability to add things asap).

  12. Some additional Symbol(s) to use OR instead of AND for the different filter criteria

Selection based on Due Date, Start Date

Enhanced syntax, to allow for more complex selections e.g.
    (context = @home or (project=ChangeLife and dueDate < NOW + 5 days)) and (tag =some or tag=thing)

DGT GTD alpha can’t be enhanced in that way.
However The beta version, which is under development, allows simple as well as composite query filters.

  13. Instead of having to set this per task for my 500 tasks, I need to be able to change it globally for all tasks.

  14. It would be interesting in my opinion if you could implement kind of Assistant for performing GTD-related periodical revies required by GTD system/methodology. I mean that application could daily/weekly/etc. (depending on settings defined by user) remind you and then assist you / guide you step-by-step through the review process (such Assistant could for example allowing to lists stuff to review in each step, tell what to review next etc. until the moment review could be finally considered as done).

  16. Somehow organize the goals screen so that the connections between various stage goals are hierarchical.

  17. The ability of DGT GTD to synch with TaskUnifier would make this the perfect app. I think TaskUnifier is more feature rich than Toodledo and more user friendly. TaskUnifier is amazing for managing multiple projects.

It allows for a wide variety of customization. Some of the customizations include: turn on or off categories, use themes or create your own theme, color code contexts, folders, priorities, time how long a task takes to complete (for consultants or those working on an hourly rate). There are several drag and drop features, as well as several keyboard shortcuts to improve productivity. Task hierarchies…

  18. I really like this app!

In my opinion the major improvements to be made is in the design.

I would like to give an idea to the developer. Can you give TAGS the same treatment that you give to @context?

After all, I believe most people use tags as contexts. We are more familiar with the term TAGS.

Thank you and congratulations for the great app!

(!): Sorry for my bad english folks!

  20. There should be an option to show tasks with no due date in the Hotlist.

The Hotlist should also be able to show tasks that have a start date with no due date.
