  1. I recommend even a limited amount of help screens or a splash screen that points to a help page on the website. This incredibly awesome tool has no instructions or "best practices", which makes for a steeper learning curve for the first time user, even if they understand the concepts of GTD (and if they're new to GTD or don't know it, yikes.)

  4. Currently DGT GTD is a text-only app. While this works most of the time, sometimes you want to "add" a (voice) recording, a photo, a film etc. to a task.

Instead of "adding" multimedia content, it would probably be sufficient being able to quickly reference files on the sdcard. It would be nice of course if DGT GTD were at least loosely integrated with apps that are able to create such contents so that it's possible to quickly call these apps. E.g. Open Intents provides an Voice Recorder for its OI Notepad app. Since DGT GTD already uses the OI…

  5. I would really, really like a "plan your day" screen. Layout the day by time (every hour or customized increment) & allow a drag & drop sort of behavior so that someone could easily take the tasks (likely sorted by due date, or something else) & arrange them in their schedule... You'd likely need 2 scrolling sections (one for the tasks & the other for the schedule ). For portrait, they might sit one on top of the other & landscape they could be side by side. AND -- there should defineately be a MAGIC button that could fill in…

  7. I often have many notification and sometimes ignore the phone beeps because I'm too busy. Having a special sound for high priority task would help...
    Thanks for your great app!

  8. I use both a tablet and phone. Now I must remember to synch both at the beginning and ending of using each device. The option to synch automatically. Would be safe and handy.

  9. This allows to quickly push a task back a day, 2 days, etc...without having to go through the process of selecting a date from the calendar.

  10. I'm trying to come up with but efficient but not wasteful sync
scheme. I want to have my toodledo and DGT to be as close as possible,
but do not want to set 15' sync to conserve mobile traffic. Is it
possible to make some 'on demand' sync mode, when the data is pushed
to toodledo quite soon (say, 5 mins) if it is changed locally, but
otherwise syncs are rare (say, 6 hours)?..

Different and probably more difficult question is how to pull fresh things from toodledo as they appear there.

  11. Need sync with a folder in LAN. FTP server is too complex for many people. LAN folder and your backup encryption is enough (acts like local dropbox).

  12. You should be able to organize contexts as a tree. For example, suppose I am concerned with tasks @home and tasks @outside (ie not at home). Being outside has several contexts: @errands, @work, @exercise. Likewise, an @errand context can have several subcontexts: @grocery, @bank, etc.

When you create tasks you use the finest-grained level of context, @grocery, @bank, @exercise, @work, @home. Then you can then filter tasks on all those you can do @outside, which would then show all the tasks in the subcontexts.

  13. I find the android app perfect but I could edit and organise easier and faster with the scale of a desktop in the same way as I am more comfortable creating e-mails and documents on a desktop. I also favour Tablet development.
Ideally platform independant. I use Linux so would be cut out of any Windows only solution. A Web based appliction would be desirable if that seemed a better design solution.
I write as an occassional user who uses DTG to organise my life better rather than as a way of life.

  15. DGT is nearly perfect. Only one thing i'm missing, it would be great if its possible to specify en enddate for repeating tasks.

  18. The home page needs a filter button. The filters can then be created by several criteria, Context, Folder, Due date, tags, start date, etc. Filters need choices, EX: Context IS @Work or IS NOT @Work. Filters should be accumlative. EX: Context IS @Work AND Tag IS Monday Tasks. Then each filter can be named and saved and applied to nearly every view.
